Working closely with the New Balance team, The Good Folks focused efforts on driving buzz and awareness for the two-week pop-up as key media and influencers were invited to a closed-door preview.

Set to evoke the throwback spirit of the American Diner circa 1970s, the specially-curated New Balance pop-up ‘served-up’ wonderful 327 sneakers and other exciting treats as guests were encouraged to soak up the nostalgic ambience and get hands-on with local creative studio, Tell Your Children.

Fitted out in hues of teal and pink, with plenty of vibes amplified by bright neon lights, vintage upholstery and checkered floors, the New Balance 327 Diner successfully shone the spotlight on the reinvented sneaker classic that pays homage to the 1970s, an era of cultural abundance where fashion, architecture and design flourished in style. Shoppers also got the opportunity to customise their very own tote bag or T-shirt designed in collaboration with Tell Your Children.

Just as how the ‘Diner’ has cemented its place in American culture, the New Balance 327 is a proud testament of its 70s sneaker legends standing the test of time as they are refreshed with a new modern sensibility for a continued legacy.

Adapting the best of all three classics, namely the 320, 350 and SuperComp, the 327 claims the throne as New Balance’s top-selling lifestyle and athleisure shoe of 2020. With an extremely lightweight EVA mid-sole that provides cushioning for all-day comfort and a grippy rubber thread that gives the perfect amount of traction for the streets, be sure to step into 2021 in your 327s, because this game-changing silhouette is here to stay.
