To celebrate the official launch of cult furnishing brand District Eight Design in Singapore,
media guests were invited to the Journey East showroom for an exclusive sneak peek.
The Good Folks was appointed by Journey East, a renowned furniture retailer, as the official PR agency for the launch of District Eight Design in Singapore.
Founded in 2010 by Singaporean-Australian Darren Chew, the creative powerhouse behind one of Vietnam’s hippest coffee and retail spaces, L’Usine, District Eight Design originally began as a project to preserve and restore historically significant buildings, warehouses and objects in Ho Chi Minh City.
Drawing inspiration from the industrial age and the French Colonial period, which played a significant role in influencing the city’s architecture, District Eight Design combines ‘Design’ and ‘Architecture’ to create an eclectic line of industrial furnishings that focuses on capturing the shape and form of authentic factory machine parts through the fusion of salvaged vintage materials and handmade wood features.
Today, District Eight Design has become the one of the region’s most highly sought-after cult brand known for its one-of-a-kind industrial furnishings.
The Good Folks managed all media aspects of the launch party, from attendance pitching to onground media facilitation as well as interview pitching and key spokespeople briefing. To date, we have secured extensive coverage across both print and online mediums, including excellent brand and product features in The Business Times Weekend, Home & Decor, Expat Living and Luxury-Insider amongst others.
